Get WebXTerm
WebXTerm can be consumed in two ways, depending on how much of the operational work you want to own yourself. Jump to the one that fits:
- Self-Managed (On-Prem Enterprise) — you run the WebXTerm Enterprise stack in your own infrastructure
- Managed Hosting — we run the backend for you; you just get a portal and add machines
Self-Managed (On-Prem Enterprise)
Run the full WebXTerm Enterprise stack inside your own environment, operated by your own team.
To run Enterprise on-prem, you need to deploy and operate the following components:
| Component | Role |
|---|---|
| vsay-auth | Authentication service — handles login, JWT issuance, Keycloak/OIDC integration |
| vsay-backend | Core control plane — machine registry, RBAC, audit logs, agent tunnel endpoint |
| vsay-frontend | The web portal / dashboard your team signs into |
| vsay-auth-tool | Companion tooling for auth setup and administration |
Your team owns provisioning, upgrades, backups, and day-to-day operations for all four components.

Managed Hosting
If you'd rather not run and maintain the backend stack yourself, we offer a managed option: we deploy and operate the WebXTerm backend on your behalf, and hand you a ready-to-use portal.
How it works:
- We deploy
vsay-auth,vsay-backend, andvsay-frontendon our side, and take care of operating and maintaining them. - You get access to your own WebXTerm portal.
- From there, you simply add your machines and start using WebXTerm — no infrastructure to run or maintain on your end.
This option is well suited for teams that want the simplicity of a fully managed portal, but with the deployment and licensing terms of an on-prem/dedicated arrangement.
To set this up, contact us at info@webxterm.me and we'll walk you through how to get started and consume the platform.
Supported Deployment Targets
Whichever option you choose, WebXTerm supports deployment across:
- Directly on the OS — Linux / Unix-based hosts
- Kubernetes (K8s) clusters
- OpenShift clusters
And across both major CPU architectures:
- amd64 (x86_64)
- arm64
Which Option Is Right for You?
| Self-Managed (On-Prem Enterprise) | Managed Hosting | |
|---|---|---|
| Who runs the backend | Your team | WebXTerm |
| Where it runs | Your infrastructure (OS / K8s / OpenShift) | Our infrastructure |
| What you get | Full control over all components | A ready-to-use portal |
| Best for | Teams with the ops capacity to run and upgrade the stack themselves | Teams that want on-prem-style isolation without running infrastructure |
For either path, reach out to info@webxterm.me and we'll help you pick the right fit.
